malarvadi arts club review

Malarvadi Arts Club directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan released today. This is his first movie, in which he has delivered a example of good movie making. Even though its his first film and most of the actors in the movie are new faces, the movie is perfect entertainer without any complicated storyboard or twists.

Malarvadi Arts Club is a movie swings around the life of five friends in a village Malarvadi. These five energetic guys are the only members of Malarvadi Arts Club which was founded by the character done by Nedumudi Venu. These boys have a thick bonding of friendship. The story progress through the humorous situations in their life.


The movie resembles the life and the real friendship of the youth. Vineeth has made a good starting in his carrier as a director. In this season of flop busters from Superstars, this movie showcasing new faces in almost all roles is really a Good film.

The magic team of writer Krishna Poojapura and director Saji Surendran after the super hit Happy Husbands are together again with Four Friends.


Two of the earlier team members Jayaram, Jayasurya are being joined by two new friends Kunchacko Boban and Meera Jasmine in this all new entertainer.

Jayaram plays a Manager in a Multinational, Chackochan is a final MBA student, Jayasurya is a local rowdy and Meera Jasmine is an MBBS student who does not mix with others. How all the four meet and bond is what Four Friends are about.


The shooting of the film produced by Tommychin Mulakupadam is started in Alapuzha from July 16. Later the unit will be flying to Singapore and Malaysia for further shoot. The others in the supporting cast are Suraj Venjaranmoodu, Salim Kumar, Lalu Alex, Ganesh Kumar and Seema.

Malayalam film industry has recently announced a ban on releasing movies of other languages on the same date as in its parent state. The decree said other language movies can release in Kerala only after two weeks of its national release, Industry bodies said the ban is to protect the small film in Malayalam as they are finding it difficult to get theatres as most of the theatres are occupied with movies in Tamil and Hindi.
But the ban has now lost steam as the theatre owners have objected to it. Theater owners have categorically told the film producers that they cannot be stopped if they too facilitate simultaneous releases of other language films.


The pressure from the exhibitors was so strong that the industry bodies lifted the ban and henceforth all the other language films can have a simultaneous release in Kerala along with other states in India.


Is this move a planned decision as not to lose on the biggest release of this year ‘Endhiran’ we don’t know.
